The Practices and Challenges in Providing Psychosocial Support to OVC

Children are our future, and what happens to children from the very earlier years affect their development and the development of the society at large. Psychosocial care and support provision to OVC has a foundational role and determines the kind of personality one will have. This scientific based research book may help those organizations working on OVC more effectively and efficiently empower, and use internal and external resources to develop strong and scientific service, sustainable programmatic responses to meet the needs of OVC in sustainable ways. Moreover, this book enhances the psychosocial wellbeing of OVC, all concerned government agencies, NGOs, the academic community, and etc.

He completed his studies from the University of Addis Ababa and his undergraduate studies at the University of Wollo with a MA and BA in Social Psychology in 2012 and 2009, respectively. His current research interests are in the areas of clinical psychology, children issues, and mental health service.
